For the destruction and disposal of banknotes, the Croatian National Bank has invested in sorting and disposal systems. The compact technology from Hunkeler Systeme AG has proven convincing.
For sorting and inline destruction of banknotes, the HNB uses two high-speed sorting machines. Both sorting machines, each with a capacity of 12,000 banknotes per hour, are connected to an HKU 4510-B-RB from Hunkeler Systeme AG. The compact extraction system takes over the shredded and irreversibly destroyed banknotes and compresses them into compact briquettes using an integrated press. Thanks to its compact design, the system fit perfectly into the confined spaces of the National Bank building.
